ISLAMABAD – 15 October 2025 (Evening Update):
After an 18-hour-long maintenance operation, the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has confirmed the complete restoration of internet speed and connectivity across the country.
According to a statement issued by PTCL, the issue originated from a faulty repeater in one of Pakistan’s undersea cable systems, which was successfully repaired by the International Cable Consortium earlier today.
With the system now fully restored, PTCL reported that internet speeds and network stability have improved significantly nationwide. Users from multiple regions confirmed that connectivity returned to normal during the evening hours.
PTCL assured customers that the network is now operating at optimal performance, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining a reliable and robust digital infrastructure for Pakistan.
