Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has officially canceled the party’s rally planned for September 28 in Rawalpindi. Speaking from Adiala Jail, Khan indicated that the decision comes after acknowledging the low likelihood of receiving court approval for the event.
In lieu of the rally, PTI will instead hold a protest in Rawalpindi this Saturday. Additionally, lawyers associated with the party are set to demonstrate outside the Supreme Court tomorrow, highlighting ongoing legal and political issues.
Khan also emphasized the importance of constitutional adherence regarding the upcoming appointment of the Chief Justice, reinforcing PTI’s commitment to upholding judicial integrity during these challenging times.
