Lahore, August 2, 2024 — Dr. Shahid Siddique Khan, a prominent leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and chairman of the Lahore Transport Company, was tragically killed in a shooting incident on Friday. The attack occurred as Dr. Khan was en route to offer Friday prayers at a mosque in Valencia Town, Lahore.
According to police reports, Dr. Khan sustained four bullet wounds in the attack. Unidentified assailants opened fire on his vehicle, leading to his death. Emergency services and forensic teams quickly arrived at the scene to collect evidence and investigate the crime.
The police have filed a first information report naming unknown suspects. SSP Investigation Dr. Anosh has confirmed that the investigation is in progress and is exploring all possible motives behind the attack.
