In a decisive move ahead of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) planned nationwide protest, Bushra Bibi, the spouse of PTI founder Imran Khan, has issued a clear ultimatum to party members. Addressing a gathering in Peshawar that included members from southern districts, Bushra Bibi stressed that any National Assembly member or party official who fails to participate in the November 24 protest would no longer be considered part of PTI.
The statement reinforced Imran Khan’s call for a mass mobilization to defend Pakistan’s constitution, uphold the rule of law, and ensure parliamentary supremacy. Bushra Bibi urged all members to document their participation by filming their journey to Islamabad, showcasing supporters traveling in convoy as evidence of commitment.
This warning comes as PTI finalizes its extensive strategy for the upcoming demonstration, with plans to converge on Islamabad from all provinces. PTI sources have revealed that the protest will commence with local demonstrations in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, maintaining momentum until reinforcements from across the country arrive. Different routes have been assigned to each provincial convoy, but the final sit-in location remains undecided, though D-Chowk has been floated as a potential site.
The leadership has underlined that the protest will persist indefinitely to assert democratic values.
