Lahore – The Punjab government has announced a massive Rs. 30 billion Ramazan relief package aimed at providing essential assistance to deserving families during the holy month. The initiative seeks to support low-income households by distributing free flour, subsidies on essential commodities, and financial aid.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif emphasized that the relief package is designed to ease the financial burden on struggling families amid rising inflation. The assistance will be provided through Ramazan bazaars and utility stores, ensuring accessibility for those in need.
Under the scheme, eligible families registered under the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) and other welfare initiatives will receive relief. The government has also instructed authorities to ensure transparent and efficient distribution to prevent any misuse of funds.
The Ramazan relief program is part of the Punjab government’s broader strategy to tackle poverty and provide economic relief during the festive season. Authorities have assured that strict monitoring mechanisms will be in place to ensure smooth and fair implementation.
