Afghanistan’s star leg-spinner and former captain, Rashid Khan, has entered a new phase of life as he tied the knot in a wedding ceremony that has captivated social media. Photos and videos from the event have gone viral, particularly on X (formerly Twitter), showing glimpses of the festivities that took place in Kabul.
The wedding, held at the Imperial Continental Hotel, followed traditional Pashtun customs and was attended by many former and current cricketers, including former Afghan captain Mohammad Nabi. Nabi extended his heartfelt congratulations to Rashid, wishing the couple a lifetime of happiness.
In addition to Rashid, his three brothers also celebrated their weddings at the same venue. The event attracted significant attention online, with Rashid’s international teammates joining in the celebrations.
