Rashid Khan has made history by becoming the leading wicket-taker in men’s T20 cricket, surpassing West Indies legend Dwayne Bravo.
The Afghanistan star achieved this milestone during the Qualifier 1 of SA20 on February 4, 2025, while playing for MI Cape Town against Paarl Royals.
Rashid took 2 wickets for 33 runs, moving ahead of Bravo by dismissing Sri Lanka’s Dunith Wellalage and India’s Dinesh Karthik.
With 633 wickets in 457 innings, Rashid now holds the record. He expressed pride in the achievement, acknowledging Bravo’s legendary status.
