Kandhkot: In a groundbreaking development for Sindhi language technology, Rizwan Ali Mahar, a young developer from Sindh, has created the first-ever stopwatch application entirely in the Sindhi language.
The app, which features a simple and user-friendly interface, allows users to track time in Sindhi script and is designed to promote the use of indigenous languages in digital tools. Mahar says his inspiration came from the lack of digital resources available in regional languages.
“In today’s digital world, every language deserves representation,” said Mahar. “This stopwatch is just a small step towards encouraging tech innovation in Sindhi.”
The application, currently available for Android devices, has received praise from educators, language activists, and local users who see it as a much-needed initiative for cultural preservation and tech inclusivity.
With this achievement, Rizwan Ali Mahar joins a growing list of developers pushing boundaries to make local languages a part of everyday technology.
