RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced new rules aimed at streamlining the Umrah process, while also imposing a ban on the issuance of tourist visas during the pilgrimage season.
According to the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the updated regulations are designed to ensure better crowd management, improved facilities, and a smoother experience for pilgrims. The government emphasized that priority will be given to those performing Umrah, and strict measures will be enforced to prevent misuse of tourist visas.
Authorities added that digital systems have also been enhanced to make registration and tracking more efficient, allowing pilgrims to plan their journeys with greater ease.
