Islamabad, Pakistan – October 10, 2024 – Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Investment, Khalid al-Falih, held a high-level meeting with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, today to discuss strengthening economic and military cooperation between the two nations.
The meeting, which took place at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, focused on expanding mutual investment opportunities, particularly in strategic sectors such as defense, energy, and infrastructure. Both sides emphasized the importance of fostering closer ties to enhance regional stability and economic growth.
Minister Khalid al-Falih expressed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting Pakistan’s economic development, highlighting the Kingdom’s ongoing investments in key projects. “We are committed to deepening our strategic relationship with Pakistan, and our investments in this country reflect that dedication,” said al-Falih during the meeting.
General Asim Munir, for his part, welcomed the Saudi delegation and underscored the importance of continued collaboration between the two countries, especially in defense and security cooperation. “Pakistan values its longstanding relationship with Saudi Arabia, and we remain committed to strengthening this bond for the prosperity and security of both nations,” said General Munir.
