In a significant development for aspiring students, the Government of Azerbaijan has announced fully funded scholarships for Pakistani students, enabling them to pursue undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral studies in various disciplines at leading Azerbaijani universities.
The scholarships are being offered under the “Scholarship Programme for Citizens of the Member Countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)” and the “Scholarship Programme for Citizens of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM)”—both of which include Pakistan as an eligible country.
The program will cover tuition fees, international airfare, a monthly stipend, accommodation, medical insurance, and visa charges. Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria set by the Azerbaijani government, which includes academic qualifications, a strong academic background, and proficiency in English or the language of instruction.
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan is also facilitating the application process by sharing guidelines and deadlines through its official portal. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply before the application deadline, which falls later this month.
This initiative is expected to strengthen the educational and diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Azerbaijan while offering Pakistani students a chance to gain international exposure and experience in diverse academic environments.
