The Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland will honor Shah Rukh Khan with the prestigious Pardo alla Carriera award on August 10. This award is a recognition of Khan’s significant impact on Indian cinema and his outstanding career achievements.
The festival, running from August 7 to 17, will also celebrate renowned figures in the film industry, including Jane Campion, Alfonso Cuaron, and Irene Jacob. Campion is set to receive the Leopard of Honour, while Cuaron will be recognized for his lifetime achievements.
This year’s festival will showcase an impressive lineup of 225 films, including 104 world premieres. The highlight of the event, the Golden Leopard award, will be contested by seventeen films.
