In a recent announcement, the Sindh Education Department has declared a holiday for August 26 in observance of the Chehlum of Imam Hussain (RA).
All educational institutions across the province will remain closed to commemorate this significant occasion. The department has urged students and staff to observe the day with respect and solemnity.
The Chehlum, also known as Arbaeen, marks the end of the mourning period for the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (RA), the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and is a time for reflection and remembrance.
