The Sindh government has announced a public holiday on September 17, Tuesday, to mark the occasion of Eid-i-Miladun Nabi, the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). This was confirmed through a notification issued on Thursday, which states that all educational institutions and government offices in the province will remain closed on this day.
Eid-i-Miladun Nabi, celebrated on the 12th of Rabiul Awwal in the Islamic calendar, is a significant occasion for Muslims across the world, commemorating the birth of the Prophet.
This declaration comes in line with similar announcements from the Punjab government and the federal government, both of which also declared September 17 as a public holiday to celebrate the religious event.
Citizens are expected to participate in processions and events, paying tribute to the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) throughout the day
