The Sindh government has issued a stern warning to its citizens regarding the upcoming monsoon season. Provincial Minister for Rehabilitation Makhdoom Mehboobuzmaan has ordered all department officers to remain on high alert starting Sunday.

In his directive, the minister emphasized the importance of protecting the province and its people, underscoring the government’s commitment to prioritizing Sindh’s safety. He also warned that any negligence from officers would result in severe punishment. Mehboobuzmaan made this announcement during his visits to various divisional levels across the province.

The Meteorological Office has forecasted partly cloudy weather, but Karachi is expected to experience hot and humid conditions. The maximum temperature in the city is predicted to reach 37 degrees Celsius today. Currently, the air temperature stands at 31 degrees Celsius, though the perceived temperature feels as high as 35 degrees due to the intense heat.

Winds are blowing from the southwest at a speed of 15 kilometers per hour, according to the Meteorological Department. The weather is anticipated to stay hot and humid over the next 24 hours.

For June 10, temperatures in Sindh will vary across different regions. Thatta is expected to reach 37 degrees Celsius, Dadu and Mohen-jo-Daro will likely hit 45 degrees Celsius, Sukkur is forecasted at 44 degrees Celsius, Karachi will be at 37 degrees Celsius, and Hyderabad is projected to reach up to 43 degrees Celsius.
