KARACHI – The Sindh Police have constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the mysterious death of popular social media influencer Humaira Asghar, whose sudden passing has sparked widespread concern and speculation.
According to police officials, the decision to form the SIT was taken to ensure a transparent and comprehensive inquiry into the circumstances surrounding her death. The team will include senior officers from the Crime Branch, Forensics, and Cyber Crime units, indicating a multi-dimensional approach to the investigation.
Humaira Asghar, who gained fame for her lifestyle content and strong online presence, was reportedly found unresponsive at her residence earlier this week. Initial reports suggested no signs of forced entry, while the cause of death remains unclear pending autopsy results.
Sindh Inspector General Ghulam Nabi Memon has directed the team to submit preliminary findings within seven days, emphasizing that “no angle will be overlooked in this high-profile case.”
