Sindh’s farms account for 94 percent of Pakistan’s banana production, making the fruit one of the region’s most significant crops.
A recent social media report highlights that districts like Khairpur, Ghotki, Sukkur, Nawabshah, Mirpurkhas, and Nausheroferoze offer ideal conditions for banana cultivation, thanks to their fertile soil and favorable climate. Annually, Sindh produces around 135,000 tonnes of bananas on over 40,000 acres of land.
This substantial output positions the province as a crucial contributor to both local and national banana consumption.
