Islamabad: The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) have announced strict measures against overspeeding, stating that any vehicle exceeding 150 km/h will face severe penalties, including a driving ban, heavy fines, and an FIR.
According to NHMP officials, the crackdown aims to curb reckless driving and ensure road safety. Drivers caught speeding beyond the limit will not only be fined but may also have their licenses suspended, and legal action will be taken against repeat offenders.
The move comes after a surge in traffic accidents due to overspeeding, prompting authorities to enforce stricter penalties to deter violations. Motorists are advised to adhere to speed limits to avoid legal consequences and ensure safety on national highways and motorways.
