KARACHI: To maintain law and order, law enforcement agencies in Sindh have issued comprehensive guidelines to regional headquarters across the province, ensuring foolproof security for Christmas, New Year, and Quaid-e-Azam Day celebrations.
A press release from paramilitary forces on Tuesday detailed a high-level meeting chaired by Director General Rangers Major-General Shamraiz Khan. The meeting was attended by IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon, Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi, and other senior officials.
Authorities formulated an extensive security plan for the upcoming events, focusing on coordinated measures to prevent any untoward incidents. It was unanimously agreed to launch joint operations against criminal elements, bolstering security by implementing strict checks at all entry and exit points of Karachi.
The initiative aims to restrict the movement of criminals and prioritize public safety. In alignment with government directives, attendees emphasized a zero-tolerance policy for the display of weapons and aerial firing during the celebrations. Law enforcement agencies have been empowered to take immediate action against violators of these regulations.
A joint action plan was approved during the meeting, outlining measures to address potential security concerns and ensure the safety of citizens during the festive season.
