In a heartwarming gesture of kindness and generosity, Qaiser Hassan, a tailor in Mianwali’s Kundian, has embarked on a mission to make Eid special for over 100 orphaned children in the city.
It all began six years ago when two women visited Hassan’s shop with a unique request. They wanted clothes tailored for orphaned children but lacked the means to pay for them. Moved by their request, Hassan took on the task without hesitation.
As the clothes were prepared and the women returned to collect them, the sheer joy and gratitude on their faces left an indelible mark on Hassan’s heart. Determined to recreate that happiness year after year, he made it his mission to provide Eid clothes for underprivileged children.
Since that fateful day, Hassan has been diligently preparing clothes for children each Eid. When a child approaches his shop, he requests a copy of their father’s death certificate along with the child’s B-form to maintain a comprehensive list. This list now boasts over 100 names of children between the ages of 1 and 18, ensuring that every child is taken care of.
Understanding the significance of Eid clothes, Hassan goes the extra mile by adding Rs200 to the pockets of each suit as “eidi,” further enriching the children’s festive experience.
Hassan’s selfless act of compassion and dedication serves as a beacon of hope and kindness in Mianwali, reminding us all of the true spirit of Eid and the joy that comes from giving.
