The Sindh Department of Culture and Tourism has announced the launch of the Thar Desert Train Safari, set to begin in the second week of February 2025. The train will operate from Karachi to Khokhrapar, with stops in Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, and Chhor, offering travelers a unique opportunity to explore the cultural and desert landscapes of Sindh.
Ticket prices have yet to be officially revealed, but similar safaris, such as Pakistan Railways’ Safari Tourist Train, offer tickets around PKR 3,000. Additional activities, including a jeep rally in Tharparkar and the Lahooti Festival in Larkana, are also planned to enhance the experience.
Details on bookings will be shared soon, with the train safari expected to be a significant boost for tourism in the region.
