The UK-based Sikh Federation alleges that the families of two leaders were raided, and family members were interrogated by the NIA. The NIA has also targeted other Sikh activists and organizations. The Sikh Federation condemns these actions and claims that the NIA is trying to silence influential activists critical of the Indian government. Additionally, a right-wing Hindu Youtuber made controversial statements advocating violence against Sikh activists in foreign countries. International governments have expressed concern about the alleged interference and human rights violations.
