Gujranwala: In a bizarre incident, thieves in Gujranwala raided a local restaurant and made off with an unusual loot — 60 kilograms of chicken pakora and 25 kilograms of fish. The peculiar theft has left both the restaurant owner and locals scratching their heads.
The incident occurred late at night in the city’s bustling commercial area, where the thieves broke into the restaurant’s storage room. According to the restaurant owner, the stolen food items were prepared and ready for a catering order the next morning.
“This is the first time I’ve seen thieves target food instead of money or valuables,” said the owner, visibly frustrated. “They even ignored the cash register and expensive kitchen equipment, taking only the pakoras and fish.”
CCTV footage shows two masked individuals loading the stolen items into a vehicle before fleeing the scene. Police have launched an investigation and are hopeful of tracing the culprits soon.
Locals have dubbed the incident “The Great Pakora Heist,” and social media is buzzing with humorous takes on the unusual crime. Meanwhile, the restaurant has urged authorities to take swift action to prevent further incidents of this nature.
The restaurant has resumed operations but has implemented additional security measures to safeguard its remaining inventory.
