TikTok has taken down nearly 25 million videos in Pakistan during the first quarter of 2025 for violating its community guidelines. According to the platform, a total of 24,954,128 videos were removed between January and March as part of its global enforcement efforts.
The majority of these videos were flagged and removed proactively, with an impressive 99.4% detected by TikTok’s automated systems before users could report them. Furthermore, 95.8% of the removed content was taken down within 24 hours of being posted.
Globally, TikTok removed around 211 million videos during the same period, which is roughly 0.9% of all videos uploaded to the platform. The most common violations included content featuring misinformation, mature themes, privacy breaches, and AI-generated manipulation.
Pakistan remains one of the top countries in terms of content moderation volume, reflecting the platform’s growing efforts to comply with local laws and community standards.
