Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkiye have underscored their commitment to expanding the scope of trilateral cooperation in the field of defense. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that this reaffirmation of strategic intent occurred during the second meeting of the trilateral defense collaboration held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on January 8, 2024.
The military’s media wing issued a statement highlighting the discussions held during the meeting, which centered on enhancing collaboration in defense equipment technologies, encompassing research and development. The parties expressed their mutual interest in leveraging each other’s strengths to advance technological capabilities in the defense sector.
According to the ISPR statement, “The three sides reaffirmed the importance of combining the intellectual, technical, financial, and human resources of the three friendly nations towards the achievement of shared objectives and attainment of self-sufficiency in the defense domain.”
