Former Bollywood actress and author Twinkle Khanna has issued a playful warning to her husband, Akshay Kumar, about the consequences of remarriage, long before the thought could even cross his mind.
In her latest blog, Twinkle shared an amusing anecdote from their recent vacation. The couple, who have been married since 2001 and share two children, found themselves in a light-hearted discussion about the possibility of Akshay marrying again.
Twinkle wrote that during one evening on their trip, as they were returning to their camp, their tour guide introduced them to a pair of birds known as “tick-tock.” The guide explained that these birds are so devoted to each other that if one dies, the other consumes poisonous grass to end its own life.
The story inspired Twinkle to jokingly tell Akshay that if she were to pass away first, he should follow the bird’s example and eat the poisonous grass too. She humorously added, “Because if you remarry after my death and I see you two together, I promise I will haunt both of you!”
Akshay, known for his quick wit, reportedly responded with a nod and a smile, saying, “I’d rather eat the poisonous grass now so I don’t have to listen to this nonsense.”
The couple’s playful banter highlights the strong bond and humor that has kept their relationship thriving for over two decades. Fans of the duo have always admired their chemistry, both on and off the screen, and Twinkle’s latest blog is another example of their enduring love and playful dynamic.
