In a groundbreaking scientific development, California-based startup REMspace has successfully enabled two individuals to communicate during lucid dreams. This breakthrough, achieved using specialized equipment and a unique dream language called “Remmyo,” opens the door to new possibilities for dream-based communication.
On September 24, the experiment saw two volunteers enter separate lucid dreams while their brain activity was monitored remotely. The first participant received a random word through earbuds, repeated it within their dream, and the message was captured. Eight minutes later, the second participant, also in a lucid dream, received the message and confirmed it upon waking, marking the first-ever “chat” exchanged in dreams.
Michael Raduga, CEO and founder of REMspace, hailed the achievement as a transformative step: “Yesterday, communicating in dreams seemed like science fiction. Tomorrow, it will be so common we won’t be able to imagine our lives without this technology.”
This pioneering research, built on years of study, holds far-reaching implications for both commercial and scientific fields. Raduga envisions real-time communication in lucid dreams becoming a major industry, comparable to artificial intelligence in its potential. “We believe that REM sleep and lucid dreams will reshape how we think about communication and interaction,” he said.
As dream communication evolves, it could revolutionize not only personal interaction but also industries from entertainment to therapy, unlocking a new frontier in human connection.
