Washington, D.C. — The Pentagon has announced its approval for a substantial military sale to Israel, valued at $20 billion. This package includes a range of advanced weaponry and equipment, notably F-15 fighter jets, tank cartridges, explosive mortar rounds, and army vehicles.
The F-15 fighter jets are scheduled for delivery starting in 2029, while the other military equipment will begin to be shipped in 2026. This sale underscores the U.S. commitment to supporting Israel’s defense capabilities, as stated by Pentagon officials.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has expressed gratitude for the U.S. support, highlighting that it is crucial for maintaining Israel’s military superiority in the region.
Since the onset of the Gaza conflict in October, the United States has supplied Israel with thousands of bombs and missiles. The conflict has led to a significant humanitarian crisis, with a heavy civilian death toll and nearly 2.3 million people displaced.
The U.S. has faced increasing criticism over its military support for Israel, especially as it works to broker a ceasefire and prevent further escalation in the Middle East.
