ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that progress is being made toward achieving a ceasefire in Palestine, expressing gratitude to former US President Donald Trump for his role in facilitating peace efforts.

In a statement on Saturday, the Prime Minister said Pakistan welcomes any step that can help end the bloodshed and suffering of the Palestinian people. He added that the international community must unite to ensure lasting peace and justice in the region.

Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, emphasizing that peace in the Middle East is vital for regional stability and global harmony.
